PDP provides assistance across four broad technical areas: governance and public management, economic policy, social policy and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Select main category or sub-category for details of our expertise in each of these areas.
PDP recognises that the eradication of poverty and improved quality of life are major development goals. We assist governments and international agencies to prepare comprehensive macroeconomic, structural, sectoral and social policies and programs for countries to reduce poverty and achieve sustained development and growth. These policies and programs are prepared through a participatory multi-stakeholder process that maximises civil society participation. Our approach aims to internalise poverty reduction strategies and programs into core medium-term budgetary and expenditure programs. We focus on strengthening governance and assisting countries to prioritise spending and implement measures that improve public resource management, accountability and transparency. Our efforts ensure a greater voice for poor people, promote justice and inclusion, empower women and increase access to employment opportunities.
