Our Services

PDP provides assistance across four broad technical areas: governance and public management, economic policy, social policy and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Select main category or sub-category for details of our expertise in each of these areas.

Social Policy

The outcome of development policy and programs should be sustained reduction in poverty, inequality and unemployment. Sustained development of human capacity, efficiency and equity are therefore complementary goals. PDP helps governments to establish more inclusive institutions that support development of human capital and the wider notion of social capital so that people can lead more productive and secure lives. We assist governments to understand the dimensions of social development and the role of institutions and civil society in creating open, transparent and dynamic societies.

Our services help governments to understand and take action on the critical priorities including civil society engagement during transition and post conflict reconstruction, the primacy of social protection to reduce poverty, the need to address inequality of access to social goods, including gender disparities, and the sectoral development requirements for health and education. Our approach is driven by a strong commitment to improving the result focus and accountability of institutions to design and deliver better social outcomes.

Our services cover:
  • design and integration of poverty reduction strategies into medium-term expenditure frameworks
  • millennium development goal programs
  • social protection programs
  • health and education sector reforms and financing.
